Community. Cannabis. Caring.
The Verdes Foundation is a licensed nonprofit producer that cares about giving back to the community we serve. We aim to bolster the community through charitable giving and sponsorships that will positively impact New Mexico.
The Verdes Foundation’s top funding priorities are supporting organizations and missions that:
- Improve the lives of patients with statutory approved cannabis conditions;
- Support the wellbeing of orphaned animals;
- Improve high school graduation rates in New Mexico; or
- Focus on social justice including: civil rights, immigrant rights, and juvenile justice
Additional support may be available to organizations that fall outside of our top funding priorities as identified by the community relations team.
Verdes has provided funding for numerous organizations throughout the area including: Epilepsy Support & Education Services, Inc., Doberman Rescue of New Mexico, New Day Youth & Family Services, Wildlife West, an animal sanctuary in the East Mountain area; Students for Sensible Drug Policy; and Animal Protection of New Mexico.

Medically Orphaned Pets (MOPs)
In 2015, The Verdes Foundation created a separate nonprofit dedicated to finding homes for pets whose caregiver has become unable to care for them due to medical illness. Medically Orphaned Pets, known as MOPS, was created to help find forever homes for these animals. MOPS provides temporary foster care and works to find homes for these pets, while paying for the animal’s healthcare needs. If you would like to support MOPs, please contact Shawna Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
