Tinctures are one of the most popular consumable products among patients. They are beneficial for controlling your cannabis intake and ideal for low dose administration. For faster relief you may place tinctures under the tongue. Let’s go over how to figure your serving size and adjust that amount when desired.

Step 1:

Understand the volume of a tincture:

  • 1 bottle (30ml) = approx. 30 full droppers
  • 1 dropper full = approx. 35 – 40 drops

*It is important to remember that each drop may vary making its volume slightly different per drop.

Step 2:

Calculate the volume of each dropper full by dividing the total milligrams per bottle by 30. This is the amount of cannabis in milligrams per dropper.

Example: 300mg tincture

300 / 30 = 10      There are 10mg of cannabis per dropper full.

Step 3:

Calculate the amount of cannabis in each drop. Divide the milligrams per dropper by 35. This will indicate the milligrams of cannabis per drop.

Example: 300mg tincture

10 / 35 = 0.29      There is approximately 0.29mg of cannabis per drop.

Take Control

Finding relief takes a little more some days than others. When you understand how to adjust your servings to meet your needs, you’re in control of your comfort and recovery. If you’re new to cannabis we suggest you speak with a service rep for assistance determining an appropriate serving.
