RN Note: Whole Plant and CBD Isolate Tinctures
Whole Plant CBD Tincture
When you hear the terms, “whole plant CBD,” you may be wondering what that means. The term “whole plant” means that along with CBD, there are other compounds present, such as additional plant material with cannabinoids, terpenes, chlorophyll, proteins, enzymes, alkaloids, flavonoids and carbohydrates. The other compounds offer additional benefits, such as enhanced symptom relief of pain, insomnia, and anxiety among others.
Chlorophyll is responsible for the green pigment in plants. It has multiple health benefits, such as anti-cancer properties and the promotion of healing. Chlorophyll improves the oxygen-carrying ability of red blood cells, which means more oxygen gets delivered to the organs. Flavonoids are antioxidants found in plants. They help strengthen the immune system and fight inflammation. Cannabinoids and terpenes interact to produce a wide variety of health benefits and symptom management, while aiding in cellular balance. Alkaloids are responsible for the bitter taste.
Whole plant tinctures may not look or taste the best, but they are rich with many beneficial compounds that can work in a variety of ways in the body. It is fascinating to know that molecules communicate with each other to balance and improve the cellular environment. We are excited to now offer a whole plant CBD tincture for this very reason.
CBD Isolate Tincture
CBD isolates are highly refined extracts, resulting in the purest form of CBD. It can be infused in foods and added to other cannabis products. Not everyone needs the whole plant benefits of a whole plant product. If you tend to be sensitive to the effects of whole plant CBD or THC, you may benefit from the CBD isolate tincture. You could use a CBD isolate to increase the amount of CBD without increasing all the other compounds, or if you are trying to control the variables in your therapy.
